Description
Large oil painting on board done in 1920 by Zanesville pottery artist Claude Leffler who worked mainly at Weller with visits to Owens, Roseville and Denver China. Pictured are a cockatoo and a macaw in a grape arbor done with strong color and great detail. The painting is signed with Leffler’s monogram and dated in the lower left hand corner. Size is 46 by 36 inches. Another painting of a soaring eagle is on the back side of the work. Excellent original condition with a newer frame.
