WWII USMC Hilborn & Hamburger Officer's Sword

Item Details

Description

Beautiful USMC officer's sword from Hilbon & Hamburger. Both sides of the blade have a lovely low relief pattern with the words United States Marines. Etched in is the name of the Marine "Winston Elwyn Jewson" who retired as a Lt. Col. Much of the gold has worn way on the hilt showing what appears to be copper. The sheath is pitted and showing rust. Sword will come in the leather case from Hilborn & Hamburger , made by Goodyear.From the estate of WW2 veteran Col. Winston Jewson.Photo of Col. Jewson is for illustrative purposes only and not included in the winning bid.

Condition

Sword is very nice, with loss of gold gilt to the hilt. Sheath needs rechrome, heavy signs of wear to leather carrying case
