KATZEN, Lila Pell (American, 1932-1998): Fisherman's Yarn, color lithograph, 30 inches h. x 22 inches w., signed in pencil lower right, inscribed AP23 in pencil together with atelier blindstamp lower left. Unmatted and unframed.

Colorful and lyrical Abstract Expressionist composition by the New York artist also known for her sculpture: ...originally a student of architectural drawing, and then became a painter, much influenced by her colleague and friend, Morris Louis in Baltimore and by the gestural work of Jackson Pollock in New York. She studied Abstract Expressionism with Hans Hoffman in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1952, and she studied Abstract Expressionism with Hans Hofmann in Provincetown in 1952, and two years later had her first solo exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Art....--AskArt

Condition: Very good condition, paper evenly slightly mellowed in hue over the decades, nice pigments, light handling crease in far lower left corner above blindstamp visible in artist proof inscription detail image, tiny lower right far corner crease, browning to far edges, no evidence of prior mounting or matting.

ADDITIONAL SHIPPING NOTES:

Buyers of goods not liable for sales tax due to items being shipped out of county or state may be liable for use tax in their receiving county and/or state, that, as with international duties, are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
