Description
SANDWICH LATE BLOWN AND ENGRAVED HAND BELL, colorless, solid handle with factory polished top, engraved with an "M" within a wreath and two crossed arrows on reverse, original clapper. The initial is for Mattie Nye, one of a number of Mathildas born or married into the Nye family of Sandwich. Boston & Sandwich Glass Company decorator Annie Mathilda Nye may have been named in honor of one of them. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1870-1887. 4" H, 2 1/2" D.
