Description
Edsall Walker ( 1910-1997) played in the Negro American League from 1936 – 1945 for the Homestead Grays and the Philadelphia Stars. Black and white photo signed with black marker, image shows a young Walker in uniform pitching. Slight damp stains on edges. 8 ½ X 11 inchesSeven - 8 in X 10 inch Black and White Autographed photos: John Jordan “ Buck” O’Neil ( 19111-2006) Kansas City Monarchs as 1st Baseman and later as a manager , First African American Coach in MLB . Signed “ Buck O’Neil” in blue marker, image shows O’Neil in uniform catching a ground ball. Good condition single ¼ in diameter stain on subjects arm.Napoleon “ Nap” Gulley ( 1924-1999) played from 1941-56 , Kansas City Monarchs, Birmingham Black Barons and the Cleveland Buckeyes. Signed in blue marker “ Nap Gulley” , portrait style photo of Gulley in Uniform. Leon Day ( 1916-1995) played from 1934-50 for The Black Sox, The Brooklyn Eagles and The Baltimore Elite Giants, Hall of Fame inductee 1995, signed “ Leon Day”Rodolfo “ Rudy” Fernandez ( 1911-2000) Played from 1932 -47 for no less then Eight different Countries, and The Negro American League. Photo shows Rudy in Uniform with an “ A” on his chest, holding his face while watching the action. Signed in dark blue marker . Light stain on back of photo paper, image in very good condition.Eugene “ Gene” Benson ( 1913-1999) played from 1937-48 with the Philadelphia Stars, The Homestead Grays and The Cuban League. Night game photo of Benson in Pinstriped Uniform on the field with a ball in his glove, an advert for Silver Springs Florida can be seen in the background. Good condition with a mild discoloration to the bright white center of image.William Walker “ Ready “ Cash ( 1919-2011) All Star Catcher for The Philadelphia Stars, played 1943-50 with the Negro League. Image of Bill Cash in Catchers Uniform with ball in right hand and glove on left. Signed in dark blue marker. Very good Condition.1938 Griffith Stadium Action Photo of “ Buck Leonard “ and Louden of the Cubans behind the plate catching. Signed “ Buck Leonard in black ink. Signature has light ink in middle , appear to have been a pen problem. Labeled on back “ Credit National Baseball Library, Cooperstown, NY.” Walter Fenner “ Buck” Leonard ( 1907 – 1997) played with The Homestead grays from 1934-50.
