Description
ERNESTO "CHE" GUEVARA
(1928 - 1967) Argentine Marxist revolutionary and guerrilla leader, allied with Fidel and Raul Castro in their successful revolutionary activities, headed Cuba's finances, led revolutionary activities in the Congo and in Bolivia where he was captured and executed. Extremely rare I.S.P. "Che" 7" x 9 1/2" b/w bust portrait of the communist revolutionary taken during the mid-1950s when he was serving as a combat medic. Signed and inscribed in blue ink at the lower center to Ramon Castaneda, director of the Jose Marti library. Multiple surface creases slightly detract from the overall presentation, which could be somewhat restored. Estimated accordingly.
