Description
TEAR GAS BATON
A most unusual weapon, a metal baton, 9 1/4" long, fitted with brown leather washers, and capable of firing a tear gas cartridge from the brass muzzle. A cocking bolt is located at the rear of the baton, and a trigger button on the side fires a specialized gas cartridge. The baton was manufactured by Federal Laboratories Inc. of Pittsburg, and bears three 1925 patent dates, with the serial number "5550". These batons were primarily used by MPs during World War II, and in some contemporary federal prisons. Complete with leather wrist strap, and housed in its original paperboard box. Very good.
