Description
Tieguai Li porcelain sculpture from the late Qing dynasty to the Republic period. Tieguai Li is depicted with a walking cane in hand while seated on a boulder. He holds prayer beads in his left hand and has a vessel for wine over his shoulder. His green and brown robes are open displaying his bare chest and visible ribs. The brown glaze of his robes has a lovely luster against the matte beige glaze of his skin. Stamped with two seal marks on the base. Dimensions are 4 3/8 inches wide X 10 1/2 inches high. All measurements are approximate.
Condition
It is in good overall condition. The top of the staff is missing.
