Description
A framed set of Pre-Columbian ceramic heads from various cultures. Lot contains various ceramic heads from the Colima and Nayarit cultures, c. 300 BC – AD 250, as well as a very cute Aztec skull, c. AD 1500, at the center of the frame and a Chimu stone canopa, c. AD 11 - 1450. Largest measures 3 ½ in x 2 ¾ in (8.9 x 7 cm) and all are mounted on a felt backed board and framed, which measures overall 12 ½ in x 10 ½ in (31.7 x 26.8 cm). Ex Dr. John Hilsabeck estate, Orange County.
