Dun Emer Press was founded by W. B. Yeats and his sisters with the intention of publishing Irish writers in limited but fine editions modeled on the presswork by William Morris at the Kelmscott Press. They worked within the arts & crafts movement and originally offered training in weaving and embroidery as well as the printing arts. Their first publication was Yeats' In the Seven Woods. After issuing eleven books, the Yeats' sisters changed their press name to Cuala and focused almost exclusively on printing, which they carried on for 30 years as a vital part of the Celtic Revival.
Condition
Wear and soiling to bindings with rubbing to extremities, small chip to paper on front board of the 1903 volume, corner tips worn with some minor bumps; offsetting to endpapers, some toning and a bit of light foxing to interiors; both volumes very good.
