⁂ Another comparative watercolour also painted en plein air, 'Misty October, Loch Earn', was sold at Christie's in 2016 and was inscribed with the date 1947 (presumably [?]1927 and incorrectly transcribed); the two watercolours appear to be have been executed within close succession of one another, and appear as associated documents of the changing seasons and their effects on Loch Earn and its environs (see: Christie's, South Kensington, Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art, July 7, 2016, Lot 7, sold for £5,000 incl. prem.).
