Three books contain the following pocket-sized publications:
1 - Thoroughbreds - Property of C.V. Whitney Esq., 42pp, This small binder contains 42 pages of information detailing the thoroughbreds owned by Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney in 1931. It includes extensive lists of his stallions, brood mares, foals, proposed breeding pairs and horses in training for the 1931 season. A staggering list of over 225 of the best horses of the era.
2 - A Stud Farm Diary, 135pp, Humphrey S. Finney, The Blue RIdge Press, 1949. "This little handbook is one of men steeped in the world of thoroughbred breeding and compiled by a master horseman in book form. It is a unique and valuable contribution to the literature of the turf."
3 - Race Horse Training, 312pp, Robert W. Collins, The Blood-Horse, 1938. This edition was printed from the original type, which was then destroyed. The edition consisted of 1000 numbered copies. This is an even more rare copy though as it is clearly marked in ink "Printer's Copy" and is not one of the 1000 numbered copies.

Condition - These all show shelf wear and age staining in the front matter and end pages as would be expected for books of this age.
Binder cover of Thoroughbreds is separating from spine but content within (including front and back boards) is intact.
Back board of A Stud Farm Diary has owner's notes on pertinent page numbers in light pencil.
