Cretaceous Period, Aptian Stage, 125-113 million years BP. A group of twelve teeth from the dinosaur Spinosaurus maroccanus from the Tegana Formation, Taouz, Morocco. 88 grams total, 24-54mm (1 - 2 1/4"). From the collection of the paleontologist R Gledhill; collected between 1930 and 1960. The Spinosaurus was both a beachcomber type scavenger and an active hunter taking small stranded plesiosaurs, pterosaurs, turtles and large fish. [12 No Reserve]
