1st century BC-1st century AD. A ceramic red ware vessel with lid in the form of a stepped pot with flat rim decorated with incised lines and radiating lines of brown pigment; vessel with thin rim and small neck, diagonal lines of brown pigment, hoop handle applied to side; globular body with vertical lines of brown pigment to the shoulder, centre of the body with two rows of indents; small pedestal foot. 140 grams, 11.5cm (4 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; formerly with the gallery of Robin Symes; accompanied by documents from Robin Symes Ltd.
