French Henri II Style Carved Oak Dining Table, late 19th c., the rectangular rounded corner top over a medallion carved skirt, on trestle bases with turned tapered fluted legs, joined by a shaped H-form stretcher with tapered fluted supports, on bun feet with casters, H.- 28 in., W.- 15 1/4 in., D.- 45 1/4 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Scattered scuffs and dents on top edge. Lacking screws to attach top to base. Three 5 inch clusters of gouges near center of top. An approximate 3 inch gouge, 3 pea-size dents, scattered light scratches and 12 pinholes on top. Scattered scratches along stretcher. A handsome piece.
