American Painted Glass and Silverplate Center Piece Epergne, 19th c., of double wedding basket form, the central scalloped enamel decorated trumpet vase over two undulating scalloped enamel decorated baskets, on a stepped tripodal sloping base, H.- 19 1/2 in., W.- 18 1/2 in., D.- 8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Moderate wear and black streaks where baskets meet metal supports. Light wear throughout the silverplate. An approximate ½ inch cylinder of glass lacking from the top of one basket. Dust accretion in the folds of glass. Metal fastener underneath one basket slightly bent. A charming piece.
