French Empire Style Alabaster and Gilt Bronze Portico Clock, 19th c., of temple form, with a later white marble top over a pierced gilt bronze frieze depicting a lyre flanked by leaves and floral medallions, over four alabaster columns mounted with bronze capitals and bases, enclosing a drum clock, time and strike, with an engraved bronze face and a relief bronze bezel, above a lyre form bronze pendulum, over a stepped base with a gilt bronze frieze with a central wreath flanked by floral medallions, on bronze disc feet, H.- 20 7/8 in., w. 11 1/2 in., D- 7 1/2 in. Provenance: The Estate of Sidney J. Mazarat III, New Orleans, Louisiana.
