FUCHIDA MITSUO: (1902-1976) Japanese Captain in the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service and a bomber pilot with the Japanese Navy during World War II. Fuchida led the first wave of air attacks on Pearl Harbor, December 1941. Signed Commemorative cover issued by the Royal Air Force museum in honour of the formation of the RAF rotary-winged force and featuring a colour image of an Avro Rota, signed by Fuchida in blue fountain pen ink to a clear area of the cover, also adding his signature in Japanese characters (some very slight, minor smudging). Post marked 10th January 1971. VG
