WORLD WAR II: A commemorative cover issued by the Royal Air Force Museum in honour of Hugh Dowding and featuring a colour image of several aircraft in battle over Kent during the Battle of Britain, September 1940, and featuring an inset portrait of the Air Chief Marshal, individually signed by Adolf Galland (1912-1996) German Fighter Pilot of World War II, Knight's Cross winner with Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds and Pierre Clostermann (1921-2006) French Flying Ace of World War II. Both have signed with their names alone to clear areas of the cover. Post marked 4th September 1976. About EX
