Description
A late 19th century Anglaise-cased repeating carriage clock with alarm. The 2.25-inch recessed dial with field-shaped cellular Roman chapters, over matching Arabic alarm dial within rectangular brass surround, the two-train movement with silvered lever platform escapement striking on a coiled gong, having French remarks, the canted case with push-repeat over Corinthian columns and fluted friezes, 6.25, (15.5cm) high excluding handle.
Condition
Rear door knob is detached but present - rear door is hard to open. Balance wheel is moving, not extensively tested and sold as seen. Flake chip to one corner of one side pane. Case lacquer worn/mellow but otherwise good.
