A Hamburg American mantel clock. Early 20th century, the 6-inch break-arched brass dial having a silver Roman chapter ring, within scroll spandrels and mask-centred arch, the two-train spring-driven movement with crossed arrows stamp, striking on a gong rod, the carved fruitwood case with shaped foliate scroll-decorated pediment, dedication plaque dated 1925, 14.5, (37cm) high, together with a late 19th century American inlaid walnut wall clock, the recessed 8-inch white Roman dial with moon hands, two-train bell-striking movement, the case with carved pediment and turned columns framed diagonally chequer-string door enclosing a mirror, on shaped inlaid base, 37, (94cm) high, (2).
Condition
1. Rubbing to chapter ring. 2. Flaking and some repainting to dial. Pediment bent back.
