Description
An Edwardian silver matchbox sleeve, the top embossed with stags within a foliate scroll border, hallmarked Crisford & Norris Ltd., Birmingham 1902, length measuring 2 1/2 inches (6.3 cm). Together with a pair of mid-twentieth century silver napkin rings, engine-turned and personally engraved, a 1930's single example, an Edwardian miniature silver bud vase, a 1920's egg cup and spoon with monogram engraving, and a cased set of 1950's silver teaspoons. Weight 6.04 ozt (187.8 grams).
Condition
All pieces in the lot displaying some general wear and tarnishing and all would benefit from a clean and polish. General surface marks and scratches to all. Some rubbing and loss of surface detail to embossed decoration of the matchbox sleeve and there are also a few holes in the metal. Minor dints/bumps. Further dints and knocks to egg cup and spoon and bud vase. The vase also has some creases and a crack in the metal and very worn hallmarks. Hallmarks to other pieces are mostly legible with some rubbing.
