Description
An Edwardian silver five bar toast rack, the curved form with central ring handle, the whole raised upon four ball feet (one missing), hallmarked Chester 1903, maker's mark indistinct, height inclusive of handle measures 3 7/8 inches (10 cm). Together with an Edwardian silver dish, the oval form with quartered shell rim above a pierced lower body, Chester 1908, plus a photograph frame mount, of rectangular shaped form with applied tennis racket motif, stamped Sterling 925. Gross weight 7.8 ozt (242.5 grams). (3).
Condition
In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The toast rack has one of its feet missing. The pierced dish is stamped REGD 564506 beneath. The photograph frame mount has two corner support clips, the easel back and glass is not present. Hallmarks predominately clear and legible, the maker's mark on the toast rack is indistinct.
