Description
An Edwardian silver dish, the shallow circular form having a shaped gadroon rim interspersed with foliate shell motifs to a plain centre. Hallmarked Thomas of New Bond Street (Charles Henry Townley & John William Thomas), London 1901, also with impressed name mark. Maximum diameter measuring 12 3/8 inches (31.5 cm), weight 29.41 ozt (914.7 grams).
Condition
The dish displays general tarnishing and surface wear. Numerous contact marks and scratches visible to the plain centre and underside and some of these appear quite deep. A couple of minor dints. Hallmarks clear and legible.
