ENGLISH TRANSFER-PRINTED BLUE AND WHITE CERAMIC PLATTERS, LOT OF TWO, both octagonal, comprising one marked with "Spanish / FESTIVITIES / 1793 / ENGLAND", likely for George Jones & Sons, having an image of a cockfight and gambling; and one impressed with "MARE", having an image of figures on a waterway with ruins and a castle in the background. Staffordshire, England. 19th century. 14 3/8" x 11 2/8" and 21" x 16 1/4".
Two 2" hairlines on rim of platter with cockfighting image, otherwise undamaged with expected wear and some staining.
