AMERICAN BRILLIANT CUT AND ENGRAVED GLASS DECANTERS, LOT OF TWO, comprising a ball-form example, single band of double crossed-cut diamonds, panel-cut neck, Gorham sterling silver collar and hinged cover with original chain which connects to a diminutive handle, sunburst base, monogramed on shoulder of body; and remaining example of square-form with large hobstar pattern, panel-cut neck with notched edges and two rows of horizontal bands, fitted with a sterling silver collar with hinged cover, applied handle with honeycomb cutting, large hobstar base. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. 9 1/4" HOA, 8 1/8" H to top of mouth, 4 1/4" D base.
Ball-form example with a base chip and several flakes to the sunburst, body with a encircling crack at lower terminal, lower body with moderate highpoint wear; remaining example with a repair to one corner.
