FRETWORK FIGURAL VICTORIAN HOUSE MANTLE CLOCK, the elaborate fretwork case in the form of a Victorian-style house, with geometric and floral design throughout, and Pan masks to the railings/fences, circular clock face set in gable, above highly detailed balcony and veranda, all capped by central steeple-like tower and similar towers to the corners; electronic movement, and connected music box fitted to interior of base; housed in custom glass-panelled display case. Retains hand-written note stating "Built by August Hagener (?) about the year 1900, cut with hand saw and knife. Donated by his sister Mrs. Margaret Klicha." First quarter 20th century, possibly later. 38" HOA, 20 1/8" W. Display case 43 3/4" HOA, 24" x 13 3/8" OA.
Excellent condition overall, some elements detached but present, lacking tower finials. Unknown working condition, lacking electrical plug. Case with crown molding detached but present, and in two pieces.
