AMERICAN STERLING SILVER SERVING ARTICLES, LOT OF SIX, comprising a Gorham "Chantilly" pattern asparagus fork, a Frank Smith serving/chipped beef fork, a Gorham salad serving fork with wooden handle, and a Whiting "Louis XV" pattern three-piece carving set with hollow handles; the first two with monogram to handle. Total weight, not including wooden- or hollow-handled examples: 6.375 ozt. Late 19th/first half 20th century. Asparagus fork 8 5/8" L, chipped beef fork 9" L, salad serving fork 11 5/8" L.
Forks in excellent condition, with expected minor wear, wooden handle with a minor chip to tip; carving set with expected usage wear, and minor corrosion to steel elements, sharpening steel detached from handle.
