Roy McLean South Africa cricket blazer 1951, by Carr Son & Wood Ltd, London, green wool with gold pinstripes, the neck label inscribed in ink Roy McLean, Springbok silkwork emblem to breast pocket inscribed S.A 1951, good condition; sold with a South African cricket neck tie (2) The South African cricketer Roy Alastair McLean (1930-2007) played in forty Tests from 1951 to 1964, the present blazer dating from the beginning of his international career when South Africa toured England. McLean was a stroke-playing and fast-scoring middle-order batsman who scored over 2,000 Test runs in 73 Test innings.
