Gen Walt appeared on the cover of Life Magazine May 26, 1967 due to his achievements in the Vietnam War. General Walt, a husky, outspoken man who commanded 73,000 marines in the critical I Corps area in the five northernmost provinces of South Vietnam from mid-1965 to mid-1967, had a reputation of being a front-line general. 8" x 10 1/2" Framed.
