Scarce Macerated Currency Ladies High-heeled Shoe!
U.S. Treasury “Green-backs” Macerated Currency, Ladies Shoe with Remnant of Pale Blue Ribbon and Its Original Printed Tag, Choice Extremely Fine.
This original example of Macerated Currency measures 5.5” long x 1.5” wide x 3” high. Complete with its original printed label on the sole which reads: "Made of U.S. National Green-backs, redeemed and macerated at the U.S. Treasury. Estimated $5,000. Manufactured at 715 14th St. N.W. Washington, D.C.” It is in the form of a large size Ladies High-heeled Shoe, with a remnant of pale blue ribbon added at top front for decoration. Very Scarce.
