A RARE FINE QUALITY 18TH/19TH CENTURY CHINESE GOLD SPLASH FANGHU BRONZE VASE & COVER, decorated with bands of taotie and other archaic motifs, the sides with double mythical animal head and scroll handles, the whole with gold splash on a patinated ground, the base cast with a six-character Xuande mark, 17.5in(44.5cm) high overall.(formerly the property of an American museum - c.f. a gold splash censer was sold at John Nicholsons Lot 98 22nd March 2017).
