Description
A 17TH/18TH CENTURY CHINESE DEHUA PORCELAIN CENSER, of archaic lian form, together with a fitted wood cover carved and pierced with ruyi motifs matching to some extent the three ruyi style feet supporting the censer, the banded sides of the censer with alternating underglaze key-fret and archaic cell designs, the censer applied with a lightly crackled cream glaze that covers the rim edge and part of the mainly unglazed base, 5.5in(14cm) high overall, the censer itself 5.8in(14.8cm) diameter at rim & 3.6in(9cm) high. Bought London 1927.
