PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE EL PASO COLLECTION
The teapot and stand both of hexagonal form, teapot surmounted by seated Chinese man holding stalk aloft, six repousséd panels to lid and body each richly decorated with bucolic court, architecture, and landscape scenery, cartouche to one side engraved with family heraldry, cartouche to one side engraved with rising sun in splendor, conforming repoussé decoration to handle and spout, stand with conforming decoration to plate and outer rim, raised on three figural feet. The arms are those of Blackwood impaling Byng.

Condition
Age-related cracking and losses to insulators, one pin to lower handle replaced, light bending to stalks to figures, light scattered pin dents, errant nicking and scratching, presenting well with wear and surface scratches commensurate with age, polishing, and use.
