Description
Eastern Mediterranean, Greco-Phoenician, ca. 500 to 400 BCE. A breathtaking vessel of deep cobalt blue glass decorated with opaque yellow-orange and white threads combed into a feathered pattern on the body bordered by horizontal white threads above and below. The vessel has a wide splayed everted rim, bordered with that same sunny yellow-orange, a short tubular neck, and a long, broad cylindrical body that subtly widens at the rounded base. A pair of cobalt blue trail handles flank the upper end of the body providing that extra touch of elegance. Size: 1.25" W x 4.5" H (3.2 cm x 11.4 cm)
