Item Details

Description

A fine detailed 1/12th scale model of a Royal Navy Picket Boat Orion , built by Mr J Whitfield of Morton in Marsh Gloucestershire. The model is powered by a Blackgates twin oscillating live steam engine having Cheddar Proteus super heated boiler being gas fired. The boat has a GPS hull and fine deck detailing including open/close vents, portholes, working binnacle compass, replica brass wheel, anchor, coal hatch and for the most part is constructed in teak or mahogany. Model length 134cm. Width 29cm. The model comes complete with a display base and is radio controlled with a Tamco six channel transmitter/receiver. Boiler History: Hydraulic test valid until the 27th of June 2019. Steam test valid until the 29th of July 2017.
