Description
An assembled collection of 9 Victorian napkin rings, with varying designs including engine turning, floral bands, engraved flowers, and beading. One of the rings has English sterling silver hallmarks; 3 are marked numerically 541-A, S 75 and S 188; another is marked "Coin" and is in the Medallion pattern with cameo bust of Roman or Greek soldier and additional engine turned design, monogrammed Ada. Additional monograms include Maggie, Flossie, Ettie, Lulu, Charlie, MWC, and EMV to LWV 1845. Together with one English figural silverplated individual asparagus tong, 4 5/8" L, and ten mother of pearl handled knives having silver repousse scroll-decorated ferrules marked Sterling, the blades marked Landers Frary & Clark Aetna Works. 8 7/8" L. Condition
Napkin rings: scattered small dents (notably one dent to English marked ring) and scatches, overall good condition with minimal wear. Knives: 1 knife has carved monogram H, the other knives are not monogrammed. All are in very good condition with minimal wear and some light scratching but hardly any oxidation to blades.
