The hinged bangle features sugarloaf-cut turquoise measuring 1.90 x 1.90 mm to 2.60 x 2.60 mm, enhanced by turquoise cabochons measuring 2.00 - 2.15 mm, complemented by half-pearls measuring 3.65 - 4.05 mm, set in 18k gold, marked C.G. for Carlo Giuliano. Gross weight 38.80 grams.

Caldwell went to Australia on behalf of the Royal Society to investigate whether the platypus laid eggs. Gold tests as 18k. Two jump rings near the clasp may have once held a safety chain. Small areas of tarnish commensurate with age. <R
