Description
MICHAEL JACKSON'S STAGE-USED LEATHER BLACK BELT
An excellent item once belonging to pop star MICHAEL JACKSON, a STAGE-WORN black leather western style belt with an ornate buckle and tip, adorned with a double row of round rivets and rosettes appearing at regular intervals. The belt, about 38" long, shows use consistent with a wearer with an approx. 30" waist. The belt is set into a frame and surrounds a double-matted copy of Jackson's 1987 LP "Bad", the cover art of which shows him wearing a jacket with similarly styled straps. The black lucite frame and plexi cover bear a few scratches, the contents are in fine condition. From the collection of Jackson's long-time friend and supporter Frank Cascio (b. 1981). Cascio met Jackson when he was five years old, and the two maintained a steadfast friendship until Jackson's death. Jackson would at times arrive at Cascio's New Jersey home unannounced simply to live a life unfettered by paparazzi, bodyguards, and clinging fans. With letter of authenticity by Cascio. From celebrated memorabilia dealers GottaHaveIt! Collectibles of New York City.
