Northern Central Railway Lantern Clear Etched

Item Details

Description

An Armspear frame with NCRY stamped on the lid is standard Armspear lettering. The frame has a twist off pot and flat verticals. This is the 1897 patent Armspear frame that they inherited from the Railroad Signal Lamp & Lantern Co. The frame has even pitting.

The globe has an extended base and it has NCR etched across the belly in fat lettering that is well know to be legitimate for this railroad. A nice globe.

The Northern Central was a Pennsylvania Railroad subsidiary that ran from Baltimore to Sunbury, Pennsylvania. The ultimate goal was to get products to/from Lake Ontario.
