Description

From a prominent collection, a very nice Armspear frame with the "wing lock" style twist off pot. The pot has "patent applied for" stamped on the spring clip. The frame has double wire guards and the meatal is in great shape. The lid is clearly stamped in large lettering STJ&LC RR. This si a hard to get Vermont road. The globe is a nice 5 3/8" size with extended base. It is very heavy and has a fine B&MRR casting in a rectangular panel. The StJ&LC and B&M shared locomotives and other operations going back to the steam era. For some reason these StJ&LC frames are either winners or losers with not much else in between condition wise. This is a winner! It is missing the retaining spring so there is a slight rattle in globe retention. This could be corrected by adding a new spring.
