3/22/2017 8:48AM CST Regarding lot 5, the Sergio Bustamante snail egg sculpture, there is a possible repair or seam raised and visible along the center of the egg, approximately 20” long. The area was viewed under U.V. light and it does not fluoresce. There is a coat of a paint that may be part of the repair that partially covers the artist’s signature and some faux-crack painted detailing. There is a chip to the base, as pictured, and a small chip to each of two of the snail’s backs. There is light surface dirt, some spots of plaster, and finger print smudges that will most likely come off with a light cleaning.
