Borein, Edward. Copland , Aaron. The open prairie from billy the kid. Santa Narbara: musilog, n.D. Illustrated by ed borein. First edition. Approximately 8 x 8 inches, pictorial coloured wrappers , lettered in black. Fine. This is a teaching aide to be used in conjunction with screening a movie and listening to the music by copland of the first part of his billy the kid suite. The illustrations on the wrappers are by borein as well as some of the illustrations inside. There is also an exercise where students should study and answer questions about russell, remington and borein. Other sections are about other aspects of the cowboy.Some of the music is notated as are cowboy songs and music.
