GERMAINE ARNAKTAUYOK INUIT SIGNED AQUATINT ETCHING: Germaine Arnaktauyok (b. 1946, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada), 2001, aquatint etching on ecru paper titled, "Inuksuit I." Inuksuk is the plural form of Inuksuit and means 'to be like a man (men)' the created rock structures mark sites of spiritual significance and were markers and lures for hunters. Signed, titled and numbered 7 of 50 by the artist and with an embossed stamp, 11"h x 15"w. Also includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Galerie Inuit Plus, Ontario Canada description of the meaning behind the piece and articles and CV pertaining to the artist.
