JAPANESE CERAMIC SATSUMA VASE 7 IMMORTALS: Japan, 19th c., Tall ceramic vase heavily gilded and with moriageware decoration depicting the 7 immortals (Gods), each shown with a wide halo and a white dragon in a stylized landscape of repeating geometric and naturalistic patterns, Shimazu crest on the shoulders surrounded by a wide band of cherry blossoms, Satsuma Characters on base, glazed on base, 12.75"h PROVENANCE: From the Living Collection of Sarasota’s exclusive “Burke’s Antiques”, founded in 1944, with over a lifetime of multi-generation worldwide sourcing and supply to the finest hand-selected American, European, Asian and Primitive arts and antiques.
