Chinese Painting by Wang Xuetao (1903-1982). In his youth, Wang Xuetao studied with two masters, Qi Baishi (1864–1957) and Wang Yun (1887–1934). While he maintained a long friendship with Qi, Wang Yun's emphasis on gathering visual memories had a more profound impact on his art. His works can be found in most important museums around the globe. Painting acquired from the artist in Canada in the 1970s. The exposed paper is 32.4cm tall and 22.8cm wide. After 30+ years the work is beginning to show signs of age meaning that foxing in the paper that can be seen clearly.
