Description
Early 20th century, Berber/Amazigh (likely Morocco or Algeria). Ornate silver wedding crown consisting of 7 hinged, pentagonal elements with chased floral designs. Each element having a coin pendant in the center and 3 at the base. All coins feature Arabic script, some with numbers (1299, 1320, 1321). Two read “Empire Certified/ 10 Francs.” 28 coins total. Silver chain clasp on either end of crown. One hinge needs to be re-soldered. 12 1/2” L. x 5” W. excluding chain clasp. Along with silver tiara having green, faceted, cut glass gems surrounding coiled decoration with chain clasp. In need of cleaning and reshaping. 2” H. at tallest point, 6 1/8” W. Chain is 9 1/2” L. 18.22 total T. oz.
