Description
Fashioned in the form of a writing desk with hand painted scenes. The back indicates that this was a gift from Charles Michel, Marquis de Villette to the Princess of Lamballe, Marie-Louise Therese of Savoy-Carignan who was found dead in 1792. Blacklight shows restoration around the legs and stretcher. This was sold through Drews Antiques, an antique shop in Omaha, Ne. that closed decades ago. 10 1/4" W x 6 1/2" D x 14" H. Minor corner chips due to age and use.
