Description
Spode (English, founded 1767). A blue and white transfer decorated pearlware hash dish and serving dish. The two-piece covered hash dish in the "Forest Landscape" pattern and the oblong shaped vegetable or serving dish in the "Net" pattern. Apparently neither piece marked. Approximate height of hash dish 6.25", width 10.75", depth 7.75". Approximate height of serving dish 2", width 10.75", depth 7.5". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Mrs. Nancy Rutledge Pogue, Blufton, South Carolina (wife of Mr. William Pogue, who served as an heir to the H. & S. Pogue Company department store chain based in Cincinnati, Ohio).
