Description
Chinese, 20th century. An interesting squat porcelain vase on carved wood stand, the globular vase with narrow crevice at shoulder, decorated with blue, red, and green underglaze enamels on clair-de-lune blue ground depicting a large game bird perched on a flowering branch, and resting on a lotus form carved and stained wood stand. Underside of vase with apocryphal mark for the Qing Dynasty Kangxi Period. Approximate height of vase 6". Overall height 7.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Anne Eng, owner of Trader Eng's / House of Eng, Atlanta, GA.
Condition
Mouth likely ground down with chip and loss. Minor glazing imperfections with glaze loss around crevice/band at shoulder.
